This collection of seven  poems was inspired by a journey Karen and her husband Andy took in the summer of 2013 to learn more about their  family roots and stories in Eastern Europe and Sweden. Karen’s  cousin Maijken Hultman and the historic society record  keeper Ingalill  helped with research into Karen’s  Swedish  ancestors who lived in the area  of  Medåker, Västmanland.
The poetry also makes reference to attendance at the Jewish Cultural Festival of Krakaw https://www.jewishfestival.pl/en/  as well as a tour of jewish sites in of Vilnius with Ilya Lempertas and of Western Lithuania towns of Kelme, Silantia, Plunge in Western Lithuania with Simonas Dovidavicius.
